Blood transfusion is currently the most common cell therapy applied worldwide used to treat various medical purposes. One of the purposes is the treatment of severe anemias, as these diseases can only be treated with blood transfusions and stem cell transplantations.

The theme for Single-Use Even 2023 has been announced: Compatibility/Standardization. Although there are clearly numerous benefits to implementing single-use (SU) technology, there are still some challenges, such as equipment compatibility and lack of standardization.

18/7/23 - John Rook: The use of Single Use in large scale manufacturing

John Rook works for Lonza as a process expert assisting the start-up of the new large scale manufacturing site in Visp, Switzerland. In his lecture he will talk about the new facility and the pros and cons of single use systems.

The second keynote of Single-Use Event 2023 will come from the company Byondis. It will be about antibody-drug-conjugates (ADC's). The speaker is to be announced soon.

2/5/23 - The first key-note speaker has been announced

This year's first key-note speaker will be Dennis Verbart, senior director of science at HALIX technology.

2/5/23 - Single-Use Event 2023's has been announced to be "compatibility".

It will be a central topic that is relevant to anyone who works with single-use technology. Around this theme questions will be adressed that concern suppliers as well as users of the technique.
