What makes your product/innovation/process unique?

With our approach for the midstream part of the bio production process (clarification) we can reduce the process by one step and make it much faster and cheaper. Why is it an improvement? Because the use of a filter aid, instead of only a centrifuge and depth filters or a two-step depth filtration, can reduce the needed m2 depth filter and avoid the use of a centrifuge. The necessary depth filters can be adjusted to the needs of the process. The configuration of the process scale is depending on the lab results and linear scalable. |
What does the future hold?
Most important/significant development? | The use of single-use technology in general and the smaller design of production facilities. More flexibility to produce different products in the same facility. |
Upcoming trends? | A bigger focus on sustainability, combining different single-use systems, and the need for more flexible systems that fit to all common connection systems. |
Most important unsolved challenge? | Connectivity of different single-use systems, deeper look into parts of the production process which so far is not really in focus, e.g. midstream (clarification or harvest), combing new approaches to make the process as effective as possible. |
